During week 5 we had our replacement class on 4/5/2023 to continue with our draping. We were advised to mix and match all of our samplings and compose it together to create a design on the mannequin. I first tried to randomly place my 2nd and 3rd samplings. I didn't really like the outcome as it seemed too plain and didn't give me any inspiration. I quite enjoyed the top few composition as it is wearable art using unconventional materials. It was also easy to maneuver and shape around the mannequin.  This is one of my favorite composition. It included 3 of my samplings that I intentionally placed at different places. It shows a really unique structure. From composing the samples onto the mannequin, I had a rough idea of what message that I wanted to convey and the designs of my garment.

During week 4, I had continued with my samplings and had managed to complete 4 samplings alltogether. I tried to do as many geometrical patterns as I could.  As a continuation from week 3, I had completed the 2nd sampling which included swirly lines creating a wave-like pattern.  After that I moved on to my third sampling which included panels as patterns.  Moving on to my third sample.  While trying new techniques, I found this spiral pattern and really liked it. This is my finalised 4th sample. STORY WRITE-UP Crochet is a method of creating a pattern by using thread, yarn, and other materials. It is done by looping the yarns together or as some may say it is a knotting technique. These interlocking loops remind me of family bonds that are tight, united, and together. It creates various patterns that also pictures a family in different ways. The different colors can be seen as the various emotions felt and these colors are joined together no matter what leading to an understanding a
