WEEK 1  FIGURING OUT IDEAS FOR MY DESIGN: IDEAS: With the use of raffia strings, I could create a texture that is bulky which is similar to the picture shown above. The design is plain but unique.  This is an example of a patchy work style. I could use various ropes and colors to create a similar fabric texture.  SAMPLE OF FABRIC MANIPULATION THAT WAS SHOWN TO US DURING CLASS FOR INSPIRATION WEEK 6 Throughout week 6, we had a guest visit, Mr. Dai Fujiwara. He had joined us and gave a talk during this week. He inspired us to create our very own designs with simplicity but with much thought put into it.  Mr. Dai had given us a talk which included his experience in the industry and how he came to the place he is in today. I had started by using ropes of various colors such as beige, neon green and white. At the beginning I started by the knotting technique and discovered that the texture of the sample was not what I was going for.   Figure 1. First roping method (knotting)  After experimenting with the knotting method, Mr. JR had advised me to crochet the ropes instead as it would create a bette
