WEEK 3: 19/4/2022 TASK 1: EXPERIMENTATION ON MEDIA - HATCHING ON PEN & SUBMISSION/ TASK 2 BRIEFING




During Week 3, we had to do our final touch ups for task 1 and begin submitting it. We are required to submit a picture of our final hatching and upload it onto a shared google docs. Then frame up the illustration board and submit a physical copy on the next physical class.

This is my final submission for Task 01: EXPERIMENTATION ON MEDIA – ETCHING PEN with the theme of ‘Black & White Avant Garde'.


BRIEFING OF TASK 2
After submitting task 1, we were assigned to start on Task 02: EXPERIMENTATION ON MEDIA – COLOR PENCIL with the theme of 'Spring & Summer'. I had researched on various fashion editorials related to the theme.

Garment Creation Technology 1

 GARMENT CREATION TECHNOLOGY 1  ASSIGNMENT 1 During our first week of class, we were briefed on the semesters schedule and flow of all future assignments. Then we started with our first assignment.  For our first assignment, we were tasked with creating a Clo3D version of one of our previous designs. I chose to remake the kids' adaptive clothing design I developed in the previous semester. Top Front Top Back Pants Front Pants Back These were the designs that I chose to transfer to Clo3D. I did make a few adjustments to the design when recreating it in Clo3D as I was unable to replicate the exact design.  As for the top, I removed the snap button detail and also the zip flap. Instead, I made the zip a 2-way zipper on CLO3D. Besides that, there was a box pleat at the back of the top. ASSIGNMENT 01 - INTRODUCTION TO 3D CREATION

 For our first assignment, we were tasked to complete 3 complete outfit variations using CLO3D.  1st Variation:  Basic bodice block and skirt. For this design, I had drafted a pattern for a basic bodice and skirt following the guidance of Dr.Alshaima. After drafting the basic bodice on the 2D pattern, I continued to simulate the garment by adjusting it around the body to check the fit of the garment. On the 1st fit, I found out that the bodice was slightly loose. So, I reduced the waist size sinching it in.  This is the final outcome of the 1st Variation:  Front  Back Final 2D pattern 2nd Variation:  For my 2nd Variation, I decided to do a short, ruffled sleeves with a dip V-neck front and back bodice paired with a pencil skirt. As for the patter, I adjusted the front bodice neckline to a V-neck (same with the back) and used rectangle strips for the ruffled strips.
